Spring is here, and there is no better way to welcome it but by throwing a huge party, full of free runways, make overs, photo booths, exhibitions, parties, seminars and high tea's, otherwise known as Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.
I've been lucky enough to jump on board this massive event for the past few days dressing, running, helping along with meet and greets, and of course getting involved in some of the free activities :)

If you're in Melbourne this week i highly suggest you get along to see a city square runway, every day @12pm and again at 1pm, tomorrow is a SABA runway, which i will definitely be getting down to, better yet it's all free and you get a giftbag with napoleon perdis items and few other little goodies.

Also the more official runway known as 'Designer series' start nightly at 7pm and 9pm showcasing some of Australia's top designers, and some of my favorites, Yeojin Bae, Athur Galan and Aurelio Costarella.

colour blocking

ever since seeing Camilla Belle wearing that amazing Gucci (spring 2011 RTW) ensemble back in march, i've become rather obsessed with the idea of colour blocking, i can't wait till it warms up a bit more down here so i can attempt it my self.
As i've been quite limited to shopping in Geelong lately, my top stores to pick up some colour are Sportsgirl, some of their knits are to die for, Dotti, they have some really cute skirts and shirts for under $60 and Princess Polly, where i eyed the most amazing orange and lavender mullet dress yesterday that i will have to make mine ASAP.

New York only likes you as a friend.

Oh New York, New York, I never thought it possible to be so madly in love with a place you've only visited in your dreams. It's been a dream ever since i watched New York Minute repeatedly when i was about 13, to live in this glorious city one day, In my life so far i've been to some amazing places, but why on earth have a not been to New York, My dad declares that there is "Nothing special about it, it's just a dirty city, full of tourists, you wouldn't like it" But everyone else i know that is around my age, has become completely infatuated with it. I remember making a pact with myself and a few friends that we would be living in NYC by the time we were 21, we planned it all out, from where we would live and where we would work, and it all seemed so amazing, of course i don't talk to at least half of those girls now that High School has finished, so that plan went down the tiolet, but i want to keep this pact, with my self at least, maybe not by the time i'm 21 but i most definitely want spend a few years living in NYC, maybe one day my career will take me and leave me there.

My first post, this is obvious.
I think i'll start off with a few little inserts about my life.
1. I live about 45 minutes from the glorious, sometimes sunny but always rainy city of Melbourne, Australia. honestly i love it here, it has this sort of warmth, a vibe of some sort that just makes you fall in love with the place, plus it has some killer cafe's, the beaches nearby are awesome, the gardens are lovely, theres great shopping, amazing street art, and you're never short of anything to do; as Melbourne is the event capital of Australia.

2. I'm studying an entertainment events course which so far has allowed me to do some pretty amazing things, for example, dressing at the Autumn/Winter 2011 Myer launch, probably the most memorable thing i've ever done. Once i finish this course i plan to study a styling course which will allow me to travel to NYC and Paris... yumm.

3. I have a huge "girl crush" on Jessica Hart, ok i wouldn't really call it that, but honestly she's rather amazing, i guess i'd call her inspiration, her style is insane.

4. This will be my blog for everything me, my fashion must haves, photography, inspiration, and all things pretty, please enjoy :)
